NullSwap is a non-custodial, no-account cryptocurrency swap service - we never hold, freeze, or seize your funds - built to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains the limited information involved when you use NullSwap and how it is handled.
1. No accounts, no KYC
Using NullSwap requires no registration, no account, and no identity verification. We do not ask for or store your name, government ID, email, or phone number to perform a swap.
2. Information involved in a swap
To execute a swap you provide the assets and amount, your recipient (payout) address, and your refund address. These are transmitted to a third-party swap-execution provider and recorded on public blockchains to carry out and settle the transaction. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
3. Technical information
Like any web service, our infrastructure briefly processes technical data such as your IP address and request metadata to route traffic, prevent abuse, rate-limit, run a bot-prevention challenge, and screen for sanctioned addresses. We keep as little of this as is operationally necessary and never use it for advertising or profiling.
4. Stored in your browser, not on our servers
Your saved swap history and language preference are stored locally in your own browser (localStorage). They never leave your device and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
5. Blockchain is public and permanent
Cryptocurrency transactions are recorded on public blockchains. Wallet addresses, amounts, and transaction times are publicly visible and permanent by the nature of the technology, and are outside our control.
6. Third parties
NullSwap relies on third-party services to operate: a swap-execution provider that carries out the exchange, a security and content-delivery provider, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics provider (aggregate usage statistics only - no personal profiling or cross-site tracking), and public blockchain networks. Each processes data under its own terms.
Our analytics are cookieless and privacy-preserving: we collect only aggregate usage statistics - which pages are visited, the referring site, and general browser, operating-system, device-type and country information - to understand how the Service is used. No cookies are set, no personally identifiable information is collected, and you are never tracked across other websites.
7. Sanctions screening - we never freeze your funds
Because NullSwap is non-custodial, we never hold or freeze your funds. Transactions may be screened against applicable sanctions lists. If a transaction does not pass screening, we simply do not execute the swap - we do not freeze, hold, or confiscate anything - and any funds you have already sent are returned to your own refund address.
8. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies for security and access control. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
9. What we store
We do not operate user accounts or a user database. Your swap history and preferences live in your own browser, not on our servers. Server-side we keep only minimal, transient technical records needed to run and secure the service, for no longer than necessary, and we never sell your data.
NullSwap is hosted in Iceland. Together with our no-account, minimal-data design, this means there is very little information about you for anyone to request.
10. Age
NullSwap is not directed to anyone under 18 years of age.
